It had been too long since she had returned to Mt. Olympus. She had snuck in late last night and hadn't bothered to alert any of the others that she had returned. Minerva was surprised she even remembered her way around the place. The beautiful sprawling estate where all the gods and goddessses reside would always be her home, no matter how far or how long she wandered the mortal realm. Even if she didn't really talk to any of her fellow deities, she knew that this was the place she truly belonged. She couldn't help but feel a little more relaxed in her childhood home. For a brief second, she had caught herself smiling.
It was a typical serene spring morning. Minerva had woken up early to take a tour around the place. But now that she had just woken up, she just wasn't ready to leave the sanctuary of her chambers. Perhaps she'll just wait until a little later. For now, she'll just sit by her window and look out. Opening the window, Minerva was taken aback by the sight outside. Instead of the neutral whites that were found at Mt. Olympus, it seemed like someone had vomited a rainbow. "What's with all the flowers?" She asked belatedly once spotting the blinding array of bright flowers.
And once again, she came to the realization that it was spring. That meant that it was time for Prosperina to return to Mt. Olympus for her stay. Ceres must be ridiculously happy as usual to have her daughter home. It seemed like the elder goddess really missed Prosperina because this year's array of flowers are probably the most beautiful array ever seen in the last twenty years. Usually, she didn't really notice the passing scenery. Minerva had seen many unusual and equally breathtaking things during her travels, but Ceres has definitely outdone herself. The last time Ceres had went all out like this was when she had heard that Pluto and Prosperina had a little tiff. Of course, the winter following that had been the harshest one ever when it turned out that her daughter and Pluto were still very much happily in love. Of course, she remembered that year. All the mortals had swarmed her temples, praying and begging that their medicines would heal their sick and ailing, that their men could make enough money to support their families, and that their women would be able to weave thick blankets to fight the cold. It had been a hassle, and if Ceres tried to pull a fit like that again, there would be hell to pay.
After a while, Minerva got tired of the obscenely bright scenery and made her way back to the comfort of her chambers. Her chamber was a tasteful warm eggshell colour with several light tones of blue and brown to accentuate her chamber. She never did like colours. Her bed was found at the very back of her chambers, and to the left of her bed was the open balcony where a chaise lounge was found. To the right of her bed would be her mini-library and storage for her various possessions. At the very center of her chamber, were a few low couches in case she had guests to entertain. She never had guests, so the couches were just there to fill up the space. She could count on one hand how many visitors she'd had.
It was lonely here. Minerva frowned. No wonder she was out all the time. It was easy to forget that she had no friends when she was too busy solving the problems of lowly mortals. Looking around her spacious but uninhabited chamber, Minerva made up her mind. She was going to be leave soon. Hopefully, no one noticed her return.
